A catch-all functionality that is activated for a certain e-mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise said, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any miswritten email address under the exact same domain, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you are running a business, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited bulk email messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters so as to get only authentic email messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be configured with a couple of mouse clicks in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered through our custom Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes using any domain registered there. To activate the catch-all option for a certain mailbox, you will need to click the icon with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Disabling this feature can be done in the same fashion and will not require more than one click either. In case the catch-all feature has already been activated for a given domain name, you will receive a warning. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never edit or disable anything automatically.
